The little things...

I've decided that every Monday I will post about the little things that have made me happy in the last 7 days. So here we go...

Finding that perfect summer scent for the home

Enjoying a dreary Sunday at Balthazar in Liberty Village

Seeing my orchid flourish for the second time

Finding this yellow CB2 bowl I had been eyeing on sale for 20$ instead of the regular 54.95$ price tag (Sill deciding on where to put it, it may go outside on the patio)

 Neon summer toes!

Canadian stripes

The Bay has definitely revamped it's image in the last few years. It was on my radar since the Vancouver Olympic games and has continued to reach a wide range of markets since. After the launch of the room in select Bay flagship stores it has touched the high end market and further solidified their brand. I shop there on a regular basis and love the fact that when they advertise a sale, it's a true sale. The bay stripes have always been a classic and i love how they have been incorporating them into a wide range of products. Here are a couple of my favorites:

Till I can afford an Hermes... This blanket will have to do.

I bought these bowls for our pup Alfie! :)

Fresh Start

Since my move to Toronto I've procrastinated on printing new calling cards for myself... Until now.

I order a set from pixelimpress and can't wait to see them in person.

Here is the draft of how they will look:

Color my World

In the spirit of this 40 degree weather we are living in today I decided to write a post about our outdoor space.

After a visit to my parents house last month in Montreal, I returned home to Toronto's concrete jungle and truly missed the greenery that is the suburban life... and my childhood backyard.

Since then I made it my mission to create our 135 square foot balcony into a little outdoor haven. Thankfully late last summer we jumped at the occasion to buy our patio set at 75% off the original price. I also recently found the dark brown and red pillows in the picture bellow at Homesense. But still it looked drab out there amongst the greys and beige facades of neighboring buildings.

I recently came across Joan's Etsy shop Home living and fell in love with her handmade pillows. I ordered the blue Greek key and yellow chevron print pillows last week and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Finally our outdoor space is coming together. It now feels inviting and we love to sit out there with a morning coffee or 5 o'clock Mojito. We are still working on a possible outdoor carpet and some greenery... more pics to come as we progress.

If you are looking to add some color in your home or outdoor living space check out Joan's website. Her pillow cases are extremely reasonably priced. Here are a couple that I also enjoyed.

Getting back into it...

Hello World...

I know I have been pretty absent the last little while. It's no excuse but I have been so busy with work and our new addition to the family (our puppy Alfie). When I first moved to Toronto I was able to use my creativity in designing our new condo, now that we have settled in and everything is basically in it's place I've missed the design world.

So I'm back... I've made a promise to myself to post 5 days a week. So here it is in black and white. Stay tuned for more tomorrow.

I'm back! :)
